Antonio "Tony" D'Angelo Obituary
May 24, 2026
Antonio “Tony” D’Angelo, 78, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. Born in Caserta, Italy, on October 8, 1947, Tony built a life defined by dedication, craftsmanship, loyalty, and love.
Tony was a talented tool and die maker and machinist, a profession that perfectly matched his precision, patience, and remarkable skill. To watch him work was to witness quiet mastery. Whether machining intricate parts or solving problems others couldn’t, Tony approached every task with focus and pride. His craftsmanship touched countless lives—sometimes in the smallest ways, like the day he recreated a broken plastic part for a young boy’s lime‑green Raleigh Chopper bicycle, fashioning an exact aluminum duplicate that worked better than the original.
Tony’s life was deeply intertwined with the family he built and the family he chose. He met Christina “Kook” when they were young, and their love became the foundation of more than 55 years together. Married in 1972, they were true soulmates—traveling the world, supporting each other through every chapter, and creating a bond that inspired everyone who knew them. Christina’s passing in 2025 left a space in Tony’s life that only love that deep can leave.
To those who grew up around him, Tony was steady, generous, and quietly influential. He gave 100% to everything he touched. When he took up bowling, he became a 230–240 average bowler and rolled multiple 300 games. When he pursued martial arts, he excelled with the same discipline and intensity. When he worked for Eastern Airlines, he and Christina would hop on flights to Europe or the Caribbean at a moment’s notice, embracing adventure with joy and spontaneity.
As the years passed, Tony found comfort in simple pleasures—watching his Marlins, enjoying familiar routines, and sharing meals with those he loved. After Christina’s passing, twice‑weekly dinners became a cherished ritual: Sundays at the Italian restaurant for a slice and pasta e fagioli, Thursdays at Wendy’s for a Dave’s Single or Double, fries, peach iced tea, and a chocolate Frosty. And always—without exception—leaving the house only after the 7:00 news ended. These small traditions became treasured time, filled with conversation, companionship, and the quiet warmth of family.
Tony also had a soft spot for cars, and his generosity showed even there, like the day he passed along his cherry‑red 1973 Mustang fastback with the white racing stripe, a true muscle‑car classic.
He was deeply loved by his nieces, Andrea Paladino and Michele Anteri, and brother-in-law Larry Montakio, who together shared this tribute:
With heavy hearts, we remember our uncle—a loving husband, son, brother‑in‑law, and uncle. He had a kind heart, a steady presence, and a way of making the people around him feel loved. To us, he was more than our uncle. He was part of so many family memories, and he will always hold a special place in our hearts.
The love he had for his wife, Cristina, was one of the most beautiful parts of his life. Their bond was something special, and it will always be remembered by everyone who knew them.
He enjoyed martial arts, racquetball, traveling, and bowling—pursuits he approached with energy, focus, and dedication. These passions were part of what made him who he was.
We feel lucky to have had him in our lives. We will miss his presence, his love, and the memories we shared with him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christina “Kook” D’Angelo, in 2025. He is survived by his nieces, Andrea and Michele, who loved him dearly and will carry his memory forward.
Tony lived a life of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep love. Those who knew him will remember his craftsmanship, his humor, his routines, his passions, and the way he showed up—fully and faithfully—for the people he cared about. His absence will be felt, but his impact will remain.
May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Christina.
