Tulia Esther Camargo

Tulia Esther Camargo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, in Boca Raton, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 89 years old.

Born on November 21, 1936, in El Carmen de Bolivar, Colombia, to Julian and Silvia Camargo, Tulia moved through life with grace, warmth, and a deep devotion to those she loved. In 1958, she married her cherished partner, Vinicio Barrera. Together, they shared 66 beautiful years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, love, and family.

Tulia was a woman of quiet talents and found immense joy in the steady, creative artistry of sewing. Her hands were rarely still, and the pieces she crafted were reflections of her patience, dedication, and care. Her greatest masterpiece, however, was her family, to whom she gave her whole heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Vinicio Barrera; her loving children, Luzan Barrera and Ever Barrera; and her siblings, Zoe Camargo, Liduvina Camargo, Julian Camargo, and Oscar Camargo. Tulia’s legacy also lives on through her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy: Jennifer Cogollo, Edwin Barrera, Pedro Ventura, Luis Eduardo Barrera, Mariliana Abramowicz, Vanessa Prosper, and Jessica Barrera.

Tulia was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her dear son, Vinicio Barrera, with whom she is now peacefully reunited.
