Anthony Joeph Segreto Obituary

After a life marked by achievement, Anthony Joseph Segreto passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born on August 19, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Salvador and Laura Segreto.

Anthony attended schools in Brooklyn and went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and a Master's from Columbia University. His professional career began at Bell Laboratories, where he worked as a research scientist on rocket control systems before he joined TRW as an aerospace engineer in the Space Division. There, he contributed to the NASA Apollo missions and earned the reputation he carried proudly for the rest of his life: a true rocket scientist.

Throughout his distinguished career at TRW, Anthony rose through the ranks, leveraging his expertise in government programs to become an Executive Vice President of Marketing and New Business. He was involved in numerous highly classified government initiatives and was twice invited to the White House for technical and national security meetings, under both the Carter and Reagan administrations.

Beyond his accomplishments in aerospace, Anthony possessed a remarkable entrepreneurial spirit and was incredibly forward-thinking. Long before digital health records became commonplace, he developed a company called MedHistory, envisioning a centralized repository for medical records. In later years, he turned his energy toward buying, renovating, and restoring homes, a pursuit that combined his creativity, business acumen, and love of building.

Anthony had a lifelong passion for travel and world history. Both professionally and personally, he explored destinations across the globe. Among his favorite experiences were visiting the ancient wonders of China and Egypt. He instilled in his children a deep appreciation for travel and culture, creating opportunities for them to explore the world alongside him and fostering a curiosity that would stay with them throughout their lives.

Anthony spent the final years of his life with his devoted partner, Doreen Giuliano. Together, they enjoyed life as snowbirds, dividing their time between Boca Raton, Florida, and Long Island, New York. Doreen stood by his side through the most challenging years of his illness, providing unwavering love, support, and care.

Anthony will be remembered for his intelligence, ambition, detest for cheese, and love of family. He is survived by his children, Anthony and Amanda (Stu); his grandchildren, Devon and Dean; his partner, Doreen; and his former wife, Linda. He also leaves behind his brother, Frank Segreto (Nancy), and his sister, Louise Urban (Bill), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched.
