Billy Edward Major entered into rest on February 5, 2021.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa Major (nee Woods), and forever remembered by his loving daughters, Kathleen Major Verdicanno (Anthony) and Kellie Major Broccolo, grandsons Michael Patrick Broccolo and Nicholas Luke Broccolo, granddaughter Erica Verdicanno Sanders (Mark) and great-granddaughters Kinley Sanders and Sylvie Sanders.

Bill served in the navy and graduated from the University of Missouri.  After working as a C.P.A., he worked in hospital administration, retiring from Durham Regional Hospital after over 20 years of service.  After retiring, he volunteered at Habitat for Humanity in New Bern, NC, once winning its Volunteer of the Year Award.

A private funeral mass and memorial service will be held at a later date, with time, date and location to be determined.
