Randy Dean Bollinger

Randy Dean Bollinger

Randy Dean Bollinger (70), of Boca Raton, FL, went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2021, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born on August 9, 1950, to parents Loran Edward and Mildred Jean (Evans) Bollinger, and raised in Snohomish, Washington. Randy was the youngest of 3 children.

He spent the main part of his career as a telecommunications software engineer – first with North Electric, traveling with his young family all over the US, then settling in Ohio working for North Electric and later ITT. He later relocated to South Florida to work for Siemens, where he lived, worked, and loved the last 35 years of his life. He was able to retire after 45 years of hard work to enjoy life with his family, sharing with them his passion and love for building projects in his woodshop, creating new things on the computer, and trying new recipes on his smoker. His love for these things will live on forever in the heart of his family.

Randy loved with his whole heart. He loved God. He loved his wife of 44 years, Jackie Merle (Dye) Bollinger. He loved and lived for his 3 children, Tansy Ann Sheppard, Yenae Deyan Bollinger, and Aaron Chase Bollinger. He loved his family, his friends, his neighbors, and all who touched his life. He loved as God taught us to love one another – completely and without expectation or judgment.

To know Randy was to know kindness, gentleness, and generosity of spirit. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do to help someone, putting others before himself. He was always there to lend a hand, make repairs, do a favor, listen, or pray for whoever needed it.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Loran and Milly Bollinger; sisters-in-law, Sally Bollinger and Polly Lipps; his brothers-in-law, Ivel Sword, Joseph Lipps, Don Guffey, and Willie Dye.

Survived by his wife: Jackie Bollinger
Siblings: Rick Bollinger, Beverly (Harvey) Finney
His children: Tansy (Ron) Sheppard, Yenae Bollinger, Aaron (Lori) Bollinger
Grandchildren: Lee (Heather) Sheppard, Jacob (Holly) Sheppard, Matthew Sheppard, Kayla Ball, Tyler Ball, Porter Bollinger, Quinn Bollinger
Great-grandchildren: Lilliana Sheppard, L.J. Sheppard

A private service will be held by his immediate family at a future date.

As a way to mourn the loss of this great man, in place of flowers, Randy and family would like you to express your generosity of spirit to a friend, neighbor, or stranger by doing something for them in the name of love.

In doing so, remember Randy – his love for others, his patience, kindness, and generous spirit.
