Robert Philip Lang Jr., 77, of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025.

Born in Detroit on May 20, 1948, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of E5 and specializing in intercommunication (IC2). He was honorably discharged in 1971.

Bob dedicated his professional life to public service and leadership, first as a police officer in Detroit and Clinton Township, Michigan, and later as a respected manager in the insurance industry.

A loving husband to Iryna Lang for 24 years, Bob was also an adored father to Brian Lang (Shoneizi) and Heidi Lang Modrzejewski (Scott), and a cherished grandfather to Kori Lang Prill (Tommy), Kayla Lang, and Jacob Lang. He was a proud great-grandfather to Fallon. Bob was a beloved brother to Keith Lang, Michelle Lang Eckerty, Eric Lang, Jeff Lang, Alyce Osterland, and Patrice Dombrowski.

Bob had a deep love for his country and was a passionate supporter of Michigan football, Detroit Tigers baseball, and Lions football. He found joy in driving his Corvette, golfing, and listening to music—his favorite song in recent years being “Walk of Life” by Dire Straits. Known for his sharp wit and warm heart, Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, respect, and humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lang and Vera Scott.
