Tom Palmer Green, Jr. peacefully transitioned to his next phase of life on September 22, 2021, at 11:05 a.m., at the age of 72. He was born in Trilby, FL, and was predeceased by his father, Tom P. Green, Sr., mother, Flora Davis Stewart, sister, Latricia Bennett, and beloved uncle, Silas Green.
Tom was brilliant, charismatic, and loved anything related to medicine, fishing, Cuban cigars, and good food. He loved to travel the country and was known to pick up and ride for miles, alone in his red truck, listening to Motown.
He is lovingly remembered by 5 sisters, Barbara (Melvin) Scayles, Vanessa (Columbus) Watson, Angelia (Joseph) Anderson, Marion Dorsey, and Beverly (Eddie) Solomon. He is also remembered by 1 brother, Wesley (Darlene) Green, and 3 special friends, Frank Johnson, Mayo Parker, and Al Rose.
He will forever be cherished by his children, Larry (Amanda) Green, Tiffany (Frank) Wilson, Marcus (Yamia) Green, Dana (Philip) Pina, and Melissa Green, lifelong friend and former wife, Carolyn Green, and his memory will live on in his beloved 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family offers special thanks to the staff at Ventura Health & Rehabilitation Center, Trustbridge Health, and Teresa Edmonds for the compassionate care he received when he needed it most.
At Tom’s request, there will be no formal memorial service and the family graciously asks for your prayers and support as we grieve privately.
